Aries (Mar 21-April 20): As January begins Saturn the karmic task master is retrograde in the sign of Virgo. Retrogrades bring opportunities for review. The reality is, we get 3 chances at the big karmic lessons that Saturn teaches. The 1st, when the planet has it's first pass, the 2nd when the planet retrogrades and the 3rd when the planet goes direct again, for a third pass. How the 2nd and 3rd affect you is dependent on how much you resist the energy. Typically a retrograde asks us to release or let go of an action, habit, idea or behavior. The more unwilling we are to submit, the more difficult the transit will be. In your solar 6th house of health, diet, cleanliness, and fastidiousness at times you could be so nit picky that it drives everyone around you crazy. Saturn's lesson is to learn to organize and prioritize. Figure out what's most important to you and figure out how to get it all done in a day that seems to be getting shorter and shorter!
Since the newly elected president Barack Obama was elected when Saturn was at 19* Virgo, he's going to have to try to do the impossible and keep his promises, when a million other things try to take up his attention or he will come under severe criticism when Saturn resumes direct motion. Since the Israeli war with the Palestinians began just before Saturn's retrograde this suggests it will continue through January and then again when Saturn approaches 21* Virgo again near the eclipses in August
The planets Mars, Mercury and Venus have all changed signs and now the challenges begin. This month calls for hard work, yes harder than you were working before! Mercury ruler of your 3rd house of communications and comings and goings enters Aquarius your solar 11th house you'll be asked to do the impossible in the time given, so you may find yourself burning the midnight oil!
Venus the planet of love ruler of your 7th house of relationships and marriage enters Pisces your solar 12th house of secret sorrows and giving and doing too much, by months end if you give too much you'll end up feeling used. So again you have to think to yourself what's most important and make a list.
Jupiter the planet of luck and expansion enters the unique and exciting sign of Aquarius your solar 11th house of friends, in-laws, mentors, profits from your career or business, suggests there could be lots of added benefits to your career and that your reputation is reaching more people than ever, you are starting to make a name for yourself. Still pining after that ex, he/she could come back to you! Your social life will take off too! Jupiter will join Chiron and Neptune already in the sign of Aquarius, on a personal and romantic level we will rebel against anyone using evasive behavior where you have to read between the lines and innuendos which keep you longing for the possibility of and hope of something down the line. Subtle hints, innuendos, implied promises and clandestine messages play on that part of your brain we are not used to using, causing a reaction of the nuclear type, when continual disappointment results.
The Full Moon at 21* Cancer occurs in your solar 4th house of property, family self reliance, beginnings and endings. If you are feeling overwhelmed from work, and home responsibilities this Full Moon could bring out the beast in you, especially if someone keeps promising to help and doesn't. Mercury goes retrograde at 7* Aquarius until January 31st when it resumes direct motion at 21* Capricorn, where it was last on December 26th, 2008. Typically Mercury retrogrades aren't a good time to start new ventures, relationships or sign contracts and make commitments. Aries (Mar 21-April 20): As the month of December begins the 1st quarter Moon, Venus and Jupiter align in the heavens in the sign of the sea goat Capricorn. Neptune the planet of irresistible dreams parallels this combination, making both wishes and dreams not just come true but, come alive. A close bunching of planets that includes the Sun, Mercury, Mars, the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune, the Lunar Nodes and Pluto in the signs of Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius giving a strong emphasis on these 3 signs in the upper quadrant. In our lives this deals with our strong desire to always better ourselves. In the mundane world, its government and authority and those who rule over us, for good or for bad. We all feel times are changing and perhaps desire to change and better our plights by learning more to get a better position or just going for that golden ring! How you react to that light depends on the influence Saturn retrograde will have on you. Typically the retrograde of Saturn is the more difficult. Aries (Mar 21-April 20): The month of November begins in a New Moon Cycle and change is on the horizon. The transits are so influential that things may never be the same again! After Mars leaves Scorpio on November 16th we will feel different and be different! By the end of November 2008 all the outer planets will be direct, ushering in a quickening of the pace and hope about a recovery on all levels could be in the air. Pluto will leave the sign of Sagittarius for good, (well for a good long while), and the United States could have its 1st black president. With the election out of the way, the world can focus on the rebuilding and healing of the economic markets and mother earth.
Neptune the planet of illusions, ruler of the sign of Pisces and the 12th house goes direct. Our Illusions, delusions, complexes, evasive behavior, and not facing reality about ourselves and others surfaces now. Neptune takes us through this journey, if you are willing to go, where things are as we would like to imagine them to be, not how they are. Not everyone takes the same journey with Neptune, but, none the less, we witness it in others and in some strange way have to experience it anyways! As Neptune goes direct we see more clearly through the web of illusion. How did we not see that! How many times have you lost something only to find it in a right there where you already looked? It's not that what you were looking for moved, it's that you just didn't see it. With Neptune retrograde it's harder to see things that are right there in front of us. Even if we do see we may just lack the confidence to take action. Neptune also rules self sacrifice and self less service, and even that can go terribly wrong. If you give too much or give to the wrong people you end up being and feeling used. Very few of us are at the level of Mother Theresa and are able to live truly saintly and selfless lives! The planets now demand accountability and reality! How will you handle Neptune going direct? Will you suddenly wake up from a dream state, or become incredibly inspired to do some great creative works? In your solar 11th house of hopes, dreams, influential people, mentors, and trying to belong to or fit in with the right group of people and ideas, eyes could be opened up to the fact that the very friends and people you hold in high esteem and want to be like don't deserve to be put on a pedestal at all. Aries (Mar 21-April 20): As we begin the month of October a bit of tense confusion could enter your life, a sort of now you see it, now you don't as Mercury Rx quincunx Uranus Rx, and miscommunications could escalate, especially if someone doesn't see you vision or even try. Then in a victorious moment Mars sextiles Pluto and this dynamic aspect could bring the possibly of agreements and reconciliations ever nearer. This is a power energizing aspect that awakens, and makes that which we couldn't or wouldn't understand, convincingly clear. In your solar 7th house agreements are forthcoming. Expect a major breakthrough. On Oct.3 Mars enters Scorpio, your solar 8th house of partnership assets, your partner s financial situation and jealousy. There's intensity now and you could feel as if everyone is pressuring you or trying to get something from you. Aries (Mar 21-April 20): Many intense aspects come into play as the month of September begins. The Sun in Virgo very close to the planet Saturn and of course trining Jupiter, the North and South Nodes are at 18* Aquarius and Leo, the line up of the personal planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra suggest a cycle of beginnings for those with planets at 13* that lasts through November when Saturn is at 18*, where the Nodes currently are. Jupiter trines Saturn and this continues throughout the last quarter of the year. This is a protective aspect and most likely very well needed. Since the sign of Virgo is the 12th house of the sign of Libra this can portend to crisis events, perhaps more storm activity in the Caribbean, east coast of the United States and the Gulf of Mexico. The planets also converge North of Moscow Russia and on the West Coast of the United States, Washington State and Vancouver, BC, making these areas very likely to feel the brunt of some of these aspects, and subject to weather disturbances natural events like volcanic eruption, and earthquakes. In the case of Moscow, another volatile and deadly over reaction to their neighbors is likely.
Normally people would say that the planets transiting the sign of Libra would bring love, marriage, lovers and relationship activity. Diplomacy, agreements and balance to world events. What if though, Libra had a darker side? With Saturn and the Sun (light), in the 12th house of Libra, the scales are unbalanced, and exposed by the Sun's light. This could bring to light unsavory love affairs, disappointment, sadness, and sorrow in relationships. It could bring loss of relationships, because of fear, inability to commit, and even deception. Sometimes it's a good thing to have your suffering, fears, charitable works exposed. People can then help you and offer compassion and help. There are other times when you don't want your 12th house secrets, behind the scenes activities, fears and debts exposed. The 12th house represents, karma, karmic debt, debt, sacrifice, self undoing and finishing karmic cycles. Saturn here can bring a lot of resentment and feeling used and being used. The sign of Virgo when not manifesting its energy properly, can lead to illness, being without work, being a ward of the state, helplessness, and mental problems. With the Sun here along with Saturn and Jupiter's protecting rays perhaps we will find that some people have been suffering terribly in silence, and need our help. Still the 12th house has yet another attribute and that is, divine retribution. Events and circumstances that just turn inexplicably in your favor. Perhaps well see some of that too!
As September begins the Sun conjoins Saturn, and you may realize that life is short and you are getting older. It's time to take things more seriously in the area of your life that rules, responsibilities, duty, loyalty, work and health. You could find that if you have been tending to everyone else's needs, your own household, health and job are in shambles. Sometimes, you have to say "no", it's important to be responsible to yourself too.
