Virgo: (Aug. 24-Sep. 23):  As January begins Saturn the karmic task master is retrograde in the sign of Virgo.  Retrogrades bring opportunities for review.  The reality is, we get 3 chances at the big karmic lessons that Saturn teaches.  The 1st, when the planet has it's first pass, the 2nd when the planet retrogrades and the 3rd when the planet goes direct again, for a third pass. How the 2nd and 3rd affect you is dependent on how much you resist the energy.  Typically a retrograde asks us to release or let go of an action, habit, idea or behavior.  The more unwilling we are to submit, the more difficult the transit will be. In your solar 1st house of physical appearance, leadership, starting over, and self assertion, Saturn here will tax the health and the heaviness of the planet can deplete your energy and make you sleepy or in need of extra sleep.  Saturn rules age and many of you will have to work extra hard to combat the signs of aging.  Starting over isn't always as easy as it should be or could be.  Saturn makes you work for everything even new starts seem to take forever.  Your hard work and persistence will in the long run pay off big time though.  So whatever challenge is before you keep chipping away at it!

Since the newly elected president Barack Obama was elected when Saturn was at 19* Virgo, he's going to have to try to do the impossible and keep his promises or he will come under severe criticism when Saturn resumes direct motion. Since the Israeli war with the Palestinians began just before Saturn's retrograde this suggests it will continue through January and then again when Saturn approaches 21* Virgo again near the eclipses in August  The planets Mars, Mercury and Venus have all changed signs and now the challenges begin.

Mercury ruler of your solar 1st house of independence and your solar 10th house of authority             enters Aquarius your solar 6th house of work, heavy responsibilities and health.  As much as work and health relate to our physical well being, our thoughts and the way we take care of our nervous system and worries plays an important role in talking the big problems.  You are where your thoughts are and through it all you must remain calm and centered, not an easy feat!

Venus the planet of love ruler of your 2nd house of money and personal wealth enters Pisces your solar 7th house of relationships.  The unique interchange with your 2nd house Libra and your 7th house which is ruled by Libra suggests something is going on with your relationships that you need to see more clearly and perhaps remove the rose colored glasses, or you will suffer both financially or in your personal relationships. 

Jupiter the planet of luck and expansion enters the unique and exciting sign of Aquarius your solar 6th house of work, health and diet and both benefit from a renewed interest in making time for diet and exercise and your willingness to share responsibilities with your significant other.  Raises and promotions are possible now as you can do no wring at your job!

Typically Mercury retrogrades aren't a good time to start new ventures, relationships, sign contracts and make commitments.

The Sun enters Aquarius just in time for the US Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama.  The Sun will transit your solar 6th house of pets, work, health and responsibilities that aren't yours.  This transit will shed light on the places where you are giving too much and not getting anything back and where you are wasting your time!

There's a New Moon eclipse at 6* Aquarius a Solar Eclipse PT and the Chinese will celebrate The Chinese New Year, "Year of the OX". Hard work leading to success is the theme of the Year of the OX!  This occurs in your solar 6th house makes you focus more on stream lining your day and getting into a routine that may be temporary or change in the future.  New work responsibilities or training could be in the works.

Virgo: (Aug. 24-Sep. 23): The month of November begins in a New Moon Cycle and change is on the horizon.  The transits are so influential that things may never be the same again! After Mars leaves Scorpio on November 16th we will feel different and be different! By the end of November 2008 all the outer planets will be direct, ushering in a quickening of the pace and hope about a recovery on all levels could be in the air. Pluto will leave the sign of Sagittarius for good, (well for a good long while), and the United States could have its 1st black president.  With the election out of the way, the world can focus on the rebuilding and healing of the economic markets and mother earth. 

Neptune the planet of illusions, ruler of the sign of Pisces and the 12th house goes direct.  Our Illusions, delusions, complexes, evasive behavior, and not facing reality about ourselves and others surfaces now.  Neptune takes us through this journey, if you are willing to go, where things are as we would like to imagine them to be, not how they are.  Not everyone takes the same journey with Neptune, but, none the less, we witness it in others and in some strange way have to experience it anyways!   As Neptune goes direct we see more clearly through the web of illusion. How did we not see that! How many times have you lost something only to find it in a right there where you already looked?  It's not that what you were looking for moved, it's that you just didn't see it.  With Neptune retrograde it's harder to see things that are right there in front of us.  Even if we do see we may just lack the confidence to take action. Neptune also rules self sacrifice and self less service, and even that can go terribly wrong. If you give too much or give to the wrong people you end up being and feeling used.  Very few of us are at the level of Mother Theresa and are able to live truly saintly and selfless lives! The planets now demand accountability and reality!  How will you handle Neptune going direct?   Will you suddenly wake up from a dream state, or become incredibly inspired to do some great creative works? In your solar 6th house of heavy responsibilities, work, daily routine, and health the lines are blurred in personal relationships. The generation that was young and created the rebellion in the 60's is now the older generation, the establishment. How far have we come, what have we become?  Saturn is now in down to Earth Virgo and Uranus is in starry eyed Pisces, and demanding that the promises of the 60's, be kept.  Demanding too, in an immediate way that the idealism, the spirituality and the movement of the 60's be reconciled.

Nov. 4   is the presidential Election Day for the United States, and the universe is abuzz, with the Moon in Capricorn, the sign of its detriment and we are all business, tense and very serious.  The Moon enters Aquarius at about 7:01 Pm edt. Signifying major changes across the board! The Saturn-Uranus opposition occurs in your solar 1st and 7th house making this opposition extremely important in your life.  Be careful of accidents and pay attention to everything around you.  Important decisions, circumstances and events can occur that affect you and your marriage, partner or mate.  Be very careful for lawsuits.  Maintain good relations with everyone, as much as possible. 

No doubt it's a day to remember! Mercury sextiles Pluto, people will think it's their civic duty to vote and will be out in record numbers.  Mars squares Neptune, suggests people could question the fairness of the election, and that some amount of fraud could be attempted.  Saturn opposes Uranus indicating the established power will be overturned, and Mercury enters Scorpio, transformation, change and regenerative healing with a watchful eye! Mercury in Scorpio assures us the votes will be counted correctly!

Virgo: (Aug. 24-Sep. 23): Are you ready for the Next Social Revolution?  It's time once more for all of us to switch gears, change occupations and find yet another reason to exist.  As Saturn in Virgo begins to oppose Uranus in Pisces, what was "hot" is not anymore. Uranus wants to shock and overturn anyone and anything it considers to be "old" and the establishment".  What will the next new "hot commodity" or "idea" be? This astrological cycle deals with change and it is immediate and quick.  This cycle suggests a decline in the materialistic and an upswing in the spiritual. Just because things are not good on Wall Street, that doesn't' mean that it's bad cycle for everything and everyone.  The protective trine between Jupiter and Saturn through November, will buffer an all out collapse of the markets and banking institutions.  The collective fears still need to be controlled and the sooner we can bring ourselves collectively into a more positive frame of mind, the sooner things will improve.

The result of such declines will bring us all closer together as being human becomes more important to us. Being "green" and each of us doing our part for the environment will grow into a large cult movement. We will want to congregate, rally, protest and go to large outdoor events.  Importance will be given to basic values and feelings.  Now does this mean that we will face a sad event together, like the death of an important and beloved person, or will we desire to have experiences that make us feel more deeply and touch our souls? The biggest change of all though as we move towards the up coming planetary alignments will be about love, being in love, loving ourselves and loving unconditionally.

Virgo: (Aug. 24-Sep. 23): The Outlook: Many intense aspects come into play as the month of September begins. The Sun in Virgo very close to the planet Saturn and of course trining Jupiter, the North and South Nodes are at 18* Aquarius and Leo, the line up of the personal planets, Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra suggest a cycle of beginnings for those with planets at 13* that lasts through November when Saturn is at 18*, where the Nodes currently are. Jupiter trines Saturn and this continues throughout the last quarter of the year. This is a protective aspect and most likely very well needed. Since the sign of Virgo is the 12th house of the sign of Libra this can portend to crisis events, perhaps more storm activity in the Caribbean, east coast of the United States and the Gulf of Mexico.  The planets also converge North of Moscow Russia and on the West Coast of the United States, Washington State and Vancouver, BC, making these areas very likely to feel the brunt of some of these aspects, and subject to weather disturbances natural events like volcanic eruption, and earthquakes.  In the case of Moscow, another volatile and deadly over reaction to their neighbors is likely.

Normally people would say that the planets transiting the sign of Libra would bring love, marriage, lovers and relationship activity. Diplomacy, agreements and balance to world events.  What if though, Libra had a darker side? With Saturn and the Sun (light), in the 12th house of Libra, the scales are unbalanced, and exposed by the Sun's light.  This could bring to light unsavory love affairs, disappointment, sadness, and sorrow in relationships.  It could bring loss of relationships, because of fear, inability to commit, and even deception.  Sometimes it's a good thing to have your suffering, fears, charitable works exposed.  People can then help you and offer compassion and help.  There are other times when you don't want your 12th house secrets, behind the scenes activities, fears and debts exposed.  The 12th house represents, karma, karmic debt, debt, sacrifice, self undoing and finishing karmic cycles. As September begins the Sun conjoins Saturn, and you may realize that life is short and you are getting older.  It's time to take things more seriously with regards to your personal aspirations and independence.  Many of you could find yourselves making very serious decisions about commitments, relationships and your personal independence.  How much of your life do you spend with someone who doesn't give back, how much time do you give, waiting for changes?

You've made it through and you are ready to show the world what you are made of. You are now tough, resilient and able, now to face anything the world throws at you.  It won't be easy for anyone to push you around.  Still questions loom large about moving, property matters, and what the future actually holds for you.

Virgo: (Aug. 24-Sep. 23): As your horoscope month begins The New Moon Eclipse or Solar Eclipse occurs at 9.32* Leo, August 1st, in your solar 12th house of karma, unfinished business karmic debts and facing your fears. You should take real joy in knowing that each and everything you face, all your apprehensions, your fears and phobias can just fade away and disappear.  You can be rid of and freed from  debts, fears, paranoia and thinking that something bad is going to happen.  How wonderful is that!  Right now think about it, what are you afraid of? Sorry, release the fear, things can turn around!

It's interesting that The Lunar South Node in Leo will be at 9.32* January 4th 2009, heralding in another solar eclipse in Aquarius of January 26, 2009 and Lunar eclipse February 9th at 20* Leo. This suggests long term effects to situations and new experiences that are not solved easily.  This period also falls during the inauguration of our next president which is sure to be a competitive one. Saturn moves out of its shadow August 8, 2008 near the presidential primaries and then we have another set of eclipses surrounding the inauguration. This can bring in a new dynamic cycle of events into all of our lives, about what though?  In your solar 12th house the competition can be felt most likely through your job. The 12th house is the opposite house to the 6th house and perhaps if you apply for a new job the competition will be stiff! Just remember you have behind the scenes help!

The Lunar eclipse at 24* Aquarius, occurs on August 16th in your solar 6th house of work, health, diet, responsibilities, pets, and your day to day routine.  It's not like you but, you just might need a vacation, or time to get away. Are you pushing yourself too much?  Some days too much and too little on others, perhaps so.  Be careful if you work in a volatile environment as this day could bring out the craziness in people! Many of you Virgo's are prone to taking on too much of other people's responsibilities and then when they want to get out of the situation they created, everyone gets mad! A midpoint between the two eclipses (a midpoint is when we add the two up two degrees of two planets or luminaries and divide by 2) is at 16.50*. The nodes by the way will be at 16.50 along with Saturn in Virgo October 14th, never a favorable time!  So we can see that this eclipse reaches out about 3 months into the future.   We cannot look at the Moon and her eclipses without looking at the Lunar Nodes which are also in Leo and Aquarius, indicating the karmic nature of the forth coming events.  

Saturn moves out of its shadow at 8* bringing in new Saturnian lessons. Saturn now has the power to give back and reverse, even turn the tables on circumstances we thought to be fixed and irreversible. In your solar 1st house the heaviness of Saturn can drain and make you need more rest than usual. Now that Saturn is picking up speed and entering new degrees a new responsibility for your health and appearance could be on it's way! Mars in Virgo a mutable earth sign will opposes Uranus retrograde in Pisces a mutable water sign. In your solar 1st house of the body, appearance and self assertion avoid conflicts and violence with others, don't fight! With the opposition aspect we have two opposing energies that cannot relate to one another. However, in the New Moon Eclipse cycle it takes on a whole different meaning...change!  New beginnings are underway for all to experience. Slamming the door on the past or some unworkable aspect of our lives and walking away can only be for good right now.  In your solar 1st and 7th houses problems with your spouse, significant other, business or competitors could surface. Conflict now can bring matters to the surface or to ahead, in order to confront and purge them once and for all.

 Along with the lunar eclipse in Aquarius which occurs very close to dubious and dreamy Neptune, Mars in Virgo will square Pluto retrograde in Sagittarius. You probably feel like no one is listening and no matter how you try to make your point no one cares or they just haven't been listening. They'll start. As Saturn goes direct at 11:07 pm edt in your solar 1st house of taking charge of your own destiny. You could be thinking just how much you would like to be independent and without baggage. Still others who have been alone are tired of being alone and longing now for that permanent relationship.
