Week of April 27-May 4, 2008

Taurus:  (Apr. 19-May 20):Taurus your weekly horoscope suggests that with the Sun in Taurus your solar 1st house of leadership, your purpose and the physical body, you could take a greater interest in your body and appearance right now. That's good because you could also attract the opposite sex. Each and every time Saturn begins a new transit through a sign we all start the cycle with a wish.  It could be a wish to get a college degree, a wish for a better job, or just to get a job. A wish to start a business, or a wish to work on your relationship and make it successful. A wish to find love again. The planet Saturn rules how wishes are fulfilled.   Saturn rules the law of retribution or paybacks.  Remolding and remaking your life. It rules karma and progress through acceptance.  It’s suggested then, non-acceptance would result in more difficulties.  Saturn is apparent stationary retrograde, from our vantage point on earth, will resume direct motion on May 2nd and pick up speed after May 9th.  It might be a good time to review.  This will be Saturn’s 3rd pass at 1*degree Virgo.  The 2nd and 3rd passes get increasingly more difficult to handle.  What wish did you make in September?  How would you like to remake and remold your life? What aren't you accepting and where are you being non acceptant? Saturn will trine Pluto in Capricorn and Pluto rules your willingness to let go and spiritually transform and change. These transits are telling us to keep to your plans and wishes, keep your eye on your goal no matter what, be patient, accept what you cannot change, and accept others.You will make a lot more progress through spiritual transformation, change and rebirth. Saturn goes Direct May 2nd  at 11pm edt.  In your solar 5th house of luck, love and romance your solitary existence could be getting to you. saturn in the 5th can make you very lonely indeed. The secret is to love yourself, pamper yourself and indulge yourself. Don't buy into the severe restrictions that are put on you. think big, think lucky and these things return. Love returns.
Now, when I write these horoscopes I don’t just look at the traditional aspects you find in your ephemeris. I look at the Nodes for example, and this week the North Node is conjoining the spiritual planet Neptune. The South Node opposes Neptune. Neptune rules creativity and a very high level of spirituality. In Aquarius it rules telepathy and intuition. The North Node is forward moving destiny. This aspect opens a door to another level of spiritual growth. Many are being called to become more spiritual. Perhaps many of you will have unique spiritual experiences that will move you to learn more or develop your intuition, telepathy and your own abilities to control circumstances spiritually or intuitively.  In your solar 10th house of destiny, fate, ambitions and attainment you can reach your goals if you can visualize and believe you can. They are so close!
The planet of love Venus enters Taurus your solar 1st house and can bathe you in happiness. It can also bath you in uncontrollable passions and desire. However with saturn in the 5th you could be looking for love in all the wrong places. Love isn't for sale. You won't find what you really want until you change. Mercury is called the messenger of the Gods.  As Mercury enters Gemini your solar 2nd house of money, you are able to build 2 sources of income. Many of you are still overcoming the transit of Pluto through your 8th house. That's not an easy transit for anyone to go through even for a saint. With Saturn transiting your 5th house nearly coming to stationary period you are asked to look deeply at what's going on in your life. You crave happiness and love but could be going for convenience instead. The cycle of Mars has predicted many events and now begins to make aspects to all the outer planets indicting world changes. Mars is the planet of action, and from here on we will have to watch its transit very carefully. In your solar 3rd house of communication, Mars will make many aspects to other planets this month forcing decisions. With that in mind be careful with what you promise. You could promise too much and everyone will hold you to whatever you say. In a sexy square, Venus in Aries squares Mars in Cancer. It's funny how the roles are reversed here. Taurus:  (Apr. 19-May 20): Taurus your weekly horoscope suggests that with the planet of action Mars in Cancer aspecting Jupiter in Capricorn you may may be going back and forth in negotiations and talks, even arguments. Don't hesitate talking things out, just find the best way to bring the other party closer to agreeing with you. Take your time, the planets suggest excitement and a going back and forth through the end of the week. Be as careful with what you say, and sign, perhaps you could negotiate a better deal at work for yourself. Legalities can be negotiated and trips and travel can be planned but subject to change and many could find new jobs. The North and South Nodes which have rulership over our past life karma and our future destiny, are in close aspects to the karmic planet Saturn and Neptune, the planet of dreams and illusions. The South Node in Leo is retracing the transit of Saturn from last year, just like Mars retraced it's transit from September 2007. Since the North Node rules future destiny is moving towards Neptune in Aquarius the sign of hopes and dreams of the future, very significant changes will occur which allow you to blend your past with your future. Taurus:  (Apr. 19-May 20): Taurus your weekly horoscope suggests that with the planet Mars in the sign of Cancer, ruler of emotional needs and security is out of it's shadow in your solar 3rd house of communications, coworkers and siblings it's possible now that you feel comfortable enough to start speaking and having conversations with co workers and just about everyone. You could even get asked out or asked over someone's house for a visit. On the other hand you could also be trying hard to impress people at work and if the work office or environment changes in any way it could become uncomfortable. With the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Aries your solar 12th house of self undoing, losing your concentration and performing poorly at work could get you into trouble. Some of you could be very ambitious and eager to get ahead in your jobs, and feel left out if you are overlooked. This won’t last long and your time is coming to climb the ladder of success. As the Sun squares Jupiter in Capricorn your solar 9th house of learning and testing be careful to watch traffic lights and obey the laws. Let's take a look at what this means. The planet Mars ruler of action in our lives is in Cancer the natural 4th house, the house that rules new beginnings and endings. The 4th house is a wealth building house, a house where we accumulate fixed assets. It can also be a place where we are too emotionally or financially needy or dependent. Look for the sign of Cancer in your Natal birth Chart as this indicates where you can build a solid foundation, wealth and self sufficiency or where you are being too needy towards others. Mars in Cancer offers a unique opportunity to rebuild on a more solid foundation. For Taurus cancer is your solar 3rd house of communications. Mars is the natural ruler of Aries your solar 12th house of insecurities, self undoing and recklessness. This combination could have you getting into plenty of arguments with others especially when you are challenged. Remember there's a certain maturity that comes along with being more tolerant. and Keeping in mind that sometimes you have to step aside and let others have the limelight and your time will surely come. Jupiter rules legalities, government, the courts, laws and religious tradition (but tradition for traditions sake doesn’t serve society) Capricorn rules structure, and looks to uphold the structure.  So Jupiter in Capricorn is going to be upholding traditions religious and legal and strictly adhering to policy and procedures.  What we refer to as "the sytem". When legal and religious laws become too stifling for the society and people they rule, they must change to accommodate new ideas, new thoughts, growth and discoveries.  Uranus looks for the cracks in these structures to stick a crowbar in and move things apart.  In other words Uranus shows us where the cracks in the structures are.  In the sign of Pisces we are thankful that the crack is there as sort of a release valve.  We find hope.  The sextile Between Jupiter which now becomes expansive and Uranus in Pisces serves to bring hope and a way out of a rigid situation. This aspect can renew your faith in tradition, religion "the sytem" making it fresh, new and meaningful.

On the flip side the 11th house celebrates with friends. Which do you do? Venus trines Mars and perhaps in true 11th house style, you see the future and the future doesn't look so bad. Reconnect, forgive and sweep the little things under the carpet. As Mercury opposes Saturn a time of reflection, perhaps regrets about things and people lost will filter through your mind. Just remember we learn from our mistakes so don't be too hard on yourself. Make your mistakes and correct them. The 5th house of the house of happiness and past life good karma. Find something to be happy and joyous about, in turn you will break the cycle of negative emotions. Saturn is the natural ruler of the 10th house of career, and the ruler of your solar 9th house of learning, travel, and spiritual pursuits. there are those around you who would like you to elevate yourself both spiritually and career wise. The pressure is on for you to get it together! Mars enters Cancer your solar 3rd house of communications can make you a bit aggressive even to the point of lashing out emotionally. You may be compelled to travel and just get away. As Mars opposes Pluto you are pressured to tell the truth or you may pressure someone to tell you the truth. Communications take on a sense of urgency. I have written this week about retrograde Saturn and you are probably wondering why.  When I looked at the planets this week and saw that Mars is re-entering Cancer and then opposing Pluto in Capricorn, well then it made sense to me that I have to include a string reference to retrograde Saturn ruler of Capricorn. Looking back to when Mars was first in Cancer way back in late September 2007, I noticed that Saturn was at the very same degrees that it is now. Making the similarities between late September and early October very similar indeed.  So the key to understanding this week’s planets lies in retrograde Saturn

Taurus:  (Apr. 19-May 20): Taurus your weekly horoscope suggests that with the Sun in Pisces your solar 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes, mentors and influential people in your life you could be giving too much or sacrificing too much of yourself to friends, and influential people. Perhaps in hopes of getting something back? The symbol for Pisces is two fish swimming in opposite directions. This represents a dual nature constantly pulling at the Pisces individual, the spiritual and the physical. As the Sun opposes Saturn in your solar 5th house of love and romance and your solar 11th house of hopes and wishes, you could find yourself being perhaps too shy to pursue that special someone. Still with all oppositions there is energy that cannot be blended. Here a feeling of not fitting in prevails with friends or love interests. Your luck is also out of sync with your hopes. To understand the aspect further, we look at The Sun which represents ego, in the sign of Pisces which represents day dreaming, imagination to name just a few, in opposition to Saturn in Virgo, which would be hardship or heavy responsibilities, this aspect could make you feel tense. Here a feeling of not fitting in prevails in your relationships. Or perhaps there's just somewhere we'd all rather be! Taurus:  (Apr. 19-May 20): Taurus your weekly horoscope suggests that there are allot of aspects this week that could be overlooked , not interpreted correctly or ignored by other astrologers. Two eclipses surround this Valentines week. The New Moon eclipse in Aquarius and the Full Moon eclipse in Virgo, next week, which comes within one degree of trining Pluto. A heavy influence in the sign of detached Aquarius with the Sun, Chiron, retrograde Mercury and the North Node, the forward moving destiny timer suggests a more detached, impersonal Valentines Day is more probable. Aquarius is your solar 10th house of career, ambition, reputation, demanding respect and where the world is watching. When we mess up with planets in the 10th house we do it with an audience and on a large scale. Nothing goes unnoticed. Be on your guard, well behaved and conscious of every moment that you have an audience. Ruled by Saturn the 10th house keeps us in a tight little box. Many of you would probably like to move and a move is in the future. Moves will be drastic and go from on extreme to another. The North Node at 27°Aquarius and the South Node 27° Leo are sextile and trine the planet Mars in Gemini. Here Mars is still in his shadow, retracing the steps he made in September. Mars in Gemini can be argumentative and prone to thinking he is right. Gossip, nervousness, even jitteriness can be a problem. With the Nodes aspecting this becomes more pronounced, The South Node in Leo beings a pronounced egocentric attitude to and argumentative or gossiping Mars and the North Node in Aquarius lends an abrupt, almost violent reaction to Mars. Not a great time for a really romantic encounter. This lends itself to those who come on really strong and fast, in order to get what they want. Watch your belongings as others could be vying for them. Again in your solar 10th house the type of respect you are demanding could be a bit too high reaching. Spend your time climbing and getting to the top, before expecting the praise and respect of having already arrived. Venus the feminine planet of love and marriage Quincunx Mars the masculine planet of action. Women and men in general are seeing things very differently. In Capricorn, Venus wants stability and status, Mars is Peter Pan, and is lying not only to Venus but to himself. taurus this occurs in your solar 2nd house which is intercepted and your solar 9th house of looking toward the future. Your morality is questioned. As the Sun trines Mars along with The North and South Nodes aspecting, expect others to see things your way. You don't have to hit them over the head with your ideas and opinions they will come willingly! You feel more comfortable when you are able to mix business with pleasure or pleasure with getting ahead! As Venus enters Aquarius, you could find the everyone is watching and likes you. Taurus:  (Apr. 19-May 20): Taurus your weekly horoscope suggests that with The Sun in the fixed sign of Aquarius your solar 10th house of power, authority, ambitions, and down falls, it's important to give 200% to the tasks at hand especially your career. The ruler of the 10th house is Saturn and transiting your solar 5th house of love, romance and risk taking none of which is going particularly well for Taurus right now. You may not be entirely happy about your career and have a strong internal need for change. If you are not happy at what you are doing it's time to explore what really makes you happy. The Sun conjunct Ret. Mercury in the fixed sign of Aquarius your solar 10th house suggests you keep your longings for a new direction quiet for the time being. It could make employers nervous. With the New Moon in Eclipse in the fixed sign of Aquarius you will have a strong desire to change and improve the area of your life the eclipse occurs in or the house it occurs in. With the New Moon eclipse in Aquarius you have so many options in front of you. Business and career options could be many! Detach in order to pick and chose and improve on what you already have, without letting go of what you have from the past. In other words trade up. In the fixed sign of Aquarius there will be those who try to keep a little of the past and a little of the future. Still other's who will find that something or someone from the past can be new again! The problem is Neptune the planet of illusions is in Aquarius so for some, you may not be seeing your possibilities clearly or you will not be seeing what you are walking away from clearly. Hopefully the New Moon can help in this area! The Moon is carry over from past lives and has a special, significant relationship with the South Node. The Moon is what we should be striving to rise above. The South Node is where we must give back or release energy. Looking at this natally is one way to interpret the other is to look at it by transit, both tell a story. This month we have a potent Lunar eclipse in the fixed sign of Aquarius (what we should be striving to overcome and the transiting South Node in the fixed sign of Leo, (ruler: Sun, House: 5th house of love and romance). The South Node is in Saturn's position from August 15-17 2007. Adding Mars to the mix direct Mars in Gemini relates back to the period of Sept. 18, 2007. With a heavy influence in the sign of Aquarius building up beginning with the New Moon eclipse in the sign of Aquarius it's necessary to understand the energy of the sign of Aquarius and it's ruler Uranus currently in Pisces the 2nd house to Aquarius. Aquarius, as everyone should be familiar is known to be friendly, detached, and rebellious, always going against the grain.
