Capricorn: Dec. 22-Jan. 21): As your horoscope week begins Mars the planet of action prepares to resume direct motion. As it does it slows down to what astrologers call a station. Mars makes its station at 0* Leo. It last transited here on Oct. 17th of 2009. What this means to you is that in some area of your life which is determined through your rising sign, you feel repetitive problems that you must overcome. In eastern astrology Mars is not seen in as good a light as it is seen in western astrology. It is considered sometimes to be a killer in the horoscope, and serves as a malefic. The degree that Mars stations at is equally important especially if you have any planets or house cusps at that zero degree. The zero degree retrograde point suggests intense lessons that we learn so intensely that we are determined not to live through or repeat again. Since Mars is going direct you will move quickly through them though. The universe in all its grace gives us three attempts at learning and conquering. Mars went retrograde at 19* Leo where it was last on Dec. 20th, 2009, we won't be out of this repetitive learning and conquering cycle until May 17th, when Mars transits past 19* and into new Mars territory. For Capricorn and Capricorn Rising Mars rules your home life, family beginnings and endings. During this long retrograde cycle no doubt people have left your life one way or the other. As Mars goes direct in Leo power struggles are the order of the day. Joint finances have been troubling but perhaps now they start to get ironed out. Power struggles and not speaking to others can finally begin to get cleared up. the intensity and the finality of everything lifts.
As Mars is ready to resume direct motion The New Moon this week occurs in a late degree Pisces. For Capricorn and Capricorn Rising the New Moon starts a new cycle of communication for you.
