Virgo: (Aug. 24-Sep. 23): As your astrology and Horoscope month begins, it's important to remember that astrology is a predictive powerhouse because it works on cycles in the world and in your life. For instance, in 2011, the world was recovering from the painful Great Recession, and while the private sector was slowly adding jobs, these gains were largely offset by massive public or government sector layoffs. We saw the government lay off thousands with Doge. 

The planet Uranus was in Aries, right where Neptune is today! Sound familiar?

The Lunar Nodes are exactly where they were in January 2007-2008. The job market from late 2007 to January 2008 represented the early, transitional phase of the Great Recession. Though unemployment remained statistically low at 4.9% in January 2008, job openings were already declining, and payrolls unexpectedly contracted, signaling an end to the previous expansion, according to the Dept of Labor statistics. Those old enough to weather the past transits have strengthened their survival skills and will do fine.

I promised you astrology lessons, so here we go. I get asked a lot, "What is the difference between Eastern or Vedic astrology and Western astrology?" It's not that confusing, and it just takes time to understand the differences. Vedic astrology focuses on what's important in the Hindu culture, which is family life, prosperity, marriage, and married life.

Eastern astrology, or Vedic astrology, is based on Sidereal astrology, which refers to a type of zodiac that measures the positions of planets based on their actual alignment with visible "fixed stars" or constellations. Vedic Astrology, also known as Eastern Astrology, is founded on this system.

The sidereal system measures the sky according to fixed constellations and their stars. This contrasts with the more commonly used Western Tropical system, upon which Western Astrology is based, which bases the zodiac signs on the "four seasons” and the Sun's relation to Earth's equinoxes, for instance, the Summer solstice, the Spring and fall equinoxes, and the Winter solstice. This divides the sky neatly into 4 quarters that can be neatly divided into 12 signs. The Western system of astrology is historically based on Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos, written in the 2^nd 

century CE, which continued the traditions of Hellenistic and Babylonian astrology.

Heliocentric astrology is a reference frame in which the Sun is at the center of the coordinate system, rather than Earth. This is the same frame used in modern astronomy. 

Heliocentric astrology refers to a perspective that tracks planetary movements from the viewpoint of the Sun as the center of the solar system, rather than Earth.

It makes more sense when we consider the ruler of today's Moon in Sagittarius is the planet Jupiter, which is in Cancer. But in Sidereal or Vedic astrology, Jupiter will be changing signs tonight and entering Cancer, its exaltation. Accordingly, in Sidereal or Vedic astrology, he has been Gemini, his detriment sign. Which makes sense when you consider the housing market (Cancer) hasn't been good for most people, and domestic harmony hasn't been so great for most here on Earth. In our Western system of astrology, Jupiter changes signs and enters Leo on Jun 30. The messenger planet Mercury changed signs and entered Cancer this morning.

As long as I am on the subject of Jupiter in Chinese astrology, he is called the Tai Sui and is in the South all this year. Many astrologers will not consider all of this and be able to put it all together, so they separate it. Vedic astrologers practice Vedic astrology, western astrologers practice western astrology, Chinese and Tibetan astrologers practice their methods, and the Mayans practiced their methods of astrology. So the question then is, why would you or any astrologer consider mastering other methods of astrology? Because in ancient times, as well as today, book burning was a thing! The first books to be burned were the astrology books! Astrology knowledge has been lost. Here is just one account of the Book Burning in Mexico in 1562.

As your astrology horoscope month starts, Mercury enters Cancer! This transit is significant because Mercury is transiting in the footsteps of Jupiter and will retrograde hours before the Full Moon in Capricorn and Jupiter's entrance into Leo. Mercury won't catch up to Jupiter until after our next Solar Eclipse in Leo on Aug 15^th. The planet Mercury plays an important role in astrology and your horoscope because as the information planet. He's going to tell you that you're going to go over things regarding housing, family, property matters, your peace of mind, morals, and how you feel about things through the summer months. Perhaps you missed something during the overly emotional transit of Jupiter in Cancer, and Mercury will remind you about it and fill you in about things! The decisions you make will be through the lens of how it affects your family, how committed you are, and how you feel.

Jun 01  Mercury enters Cancer. During Mercury in Cancer, communications, conversations, and ideas or plans revolve around your family, home, food, memories, and you tend to go to or return to places you feel are like your home or familiar and property matters. You may be concerned about your family's diet or their health and wellness, or you may need to care for a family member. You may now seek more lucrative employment, look for ways to earn more money, or make some improvements around the house. You may sign leases or documents related to your home or family and negotiate a mortgage, buy, or sell properties. You may be concerned about your happiness, peace of mind, and mental well-being.

In Cancer, Mercury wants to be part of family gatherings, a clan, or feel like a family member. There can be a tendency not to talk about emotional slights or hurts or to nag.

Jun 02 The Sun in Gemini sextiles Saturn in Aries (Fall) at 12° The Sun in Gemini is swift, fast thinking, and yet when an opportunity comes through your career or to go in a new direction, you might hesitate. Saturn is careful in Aries.   

Jun 03 Mercury in Cancer squares Neptune in Aries at 3°, even though something seems fishy, you're not asking questions.

Jun 04 Mercury in Cancer inconjuncts Pluto _RX at 5°; this aspect can bring up an uncomfortable situation with an ex, an old friend, in law or you might remember something or need to correct a mistake.

Jun 08 4^th Qtr Moon in Pisces at 17°

Jun 09, the planet of love, money, Wealth, beauty, and marriage, Venus in Cancer, conjoins Jupiter in Cancer (Exaltation) at 20°and family unity and nesting are favored.

Jun 10 Mercury in Cancer square Saturn in Aries (Fall) at 12°

Jun 13 Venus in Cancer squares the wounded healer Chiron in Aries at 29°the fated.

On June 13, the planet of love, romance, Wealth, beauty, the wife, and marriage, Venus, enters Leo. Venus will oppose Pluto _RX in Aquarius every year Pluto is in Aquarius for about 20 years. Oh my! That can bring suffering in some romances, love, intense romantic and sexual encounters, the beginning of a passionate summer romance, or a painful ending of a romance or relationship. This aspect rules prostitution and affairs, oh my. Financial gain enters relationships. Announcement of a high-profile separation or divorce is possible.

Jun 13 Mercury is in its retrograde shadow starting now and will repeat its degrees 3 times.

Jun 14, the New Moon in Gemini at 24°. Check your free Natal Birth Chart on my website for any planets at 24°. Every New Moon is the start of a new cycle. This one is in Gemini. It's gathering information, communicating with others, maybe gossiping, or exchanging notes on someone, and putting your ideas and what you're thinking about to work. Every New Moon starts a new cycle of experiences, events, situations, incidents, circumstances, conditions, and people coming into your life in the sign and house it occurs in.

Jun 16 Venus in Leo trines Neptune in Aries at 3°, and it can be hard to resist a new romance.

Jun 17 Venus in Leo opposes Pluto _RX at 5°as it will every time Venus is in Leo, and this is a kind of forbidden love, but also where there can be financial gain. Here's a twist: Pluto in Aquarius is technology, so imagine the online romances that can blossom!

Jun 19 Juneteenth

Jun 19 Chiron, the wounded healer, enters Taurus. The wounded healer in Taurus brings his healing to your Wealth, financial security or lack of, your relationship with money, and how things or people make you feel. Chiron will focus on morals, personal values, sensual feelings, and the soft touch of a romantic partner.

Jun 21  The Sun enters Cancer Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice is a shift in your life, almost like turning a corner. The symbol of the Sign of Cancer is the crab, and once the large claw has latched onto something, it rarely lets go. The movement of the crab tells us something about the movement or the way Cancer goes about things. The crab walks side to side, never directly approaching something. Cancer, too, can avoid talking about their emotional hurts and keep their feelings inside until they burst. The crab carries its house on its back, and Cancer can make any place a home or homey. This also represents the shell that both protects them and gives them a place to retreat to. At times, they can be highly defensive and easily hurt by criticism. Crabs are also territorial, and so are many Cancers. Cancer is a receptive sign, and as such, open to things. They don't accept others easily into their inner circles, preferring their family members, clan members, and those in their tribe to strangers.

Jun 21 The Sun in Cancer sextiles Chiron, in Taurus at 0°and perhaps you want to move, upgrade your home, or buy a home.

Jun 25 Venus in Leo trines Saturn in Aries (Fall) at 14°, this eases any difficulties in your romantic life, marriage, and with others. But remember it's not perfect.

Jun 25 The Sun in Cancer squares Neptune in Aries at 3°, and since the Sun in Cancer is easily hurt, you might be and not say anything but retreat.

Jun 26 The Sun in Cancer inconjuncts Pluto _RX in Aquarius at 4°, there is a situation to be handled where maybe you have to let someone in your house, or a family member or partner invites their friends or their family members over. You have to get out of your comfort zone and be friendly.

Jun 28 Mars in Taurus (Detriment), sextiles Jupiter in Cancer at 29°, the fated degree where things have built up. Mars in Taurus is strong as a Bull and many people want to work out and get strong. At the same time, Jupiter in Cancer can stay home and be pretty sedentary!

Jun 28 Mars enters Gemini. The planet of action, taking the initiative, war, accidents, a malefic planet, and the man or husband in a woman's chart, Mars, enters Gemini. Imagine the fire planet Mars in the air sign Gemini. In August 2022 and spent seven months in Gemini! That's when we experienced Hurricane Ian, which caused massive flooding and devastation in Florida.

Mars is a malefic planet and planet of bloodshed, war, initiative, impulsiveness, and activity. Mars is a fire element planet in an air sign. Things move very fast! Mars spurs debates and lively conversations. Expected to be questioned, interrupted, and frequently disturbed. Great engineering feats can get started now, and progress in wind energy is possible. Sharpen your verbal skills because you will be challenged and questioned. Mars in Gemini avoids commitment and can procrastinate. Be cautious about what you put in writing, sign, and post on social media. Everything is questioned! People will pick out your mistakes and question what you said and wrote. Mars in Gemini inclines to more than one love interest. It's an extended period when false information and fake news give rise to changes in the information you get online. Mars in Gemini favors reporters, writers,  journalists, actors, speakers, teachers, and authors. Mars favors having several jobs. The downside is that some may have potty mouths. Work on your breathing, tend to coughs, your lungs and nervous system, eyesight, and balance.

Jun 29 Mercury _{S RX} Retrograde in Cancer until Jul 23 when direct at 16° Cancer

Jun 30 Jupiter enters Leo. Jupiter is a fire planet, and now he's in a fire sign! Jupiter in Leo produces big personalities! People we treat like royalty and those who love being treated like royalty. Kings, princes, sports stars, and superstars. Jupiter in Leo is extravagant, showy, generous to a fault, and larger than life. No, imagine that you all can be these things! Now there's another side to Jupiter in Leo, and that it's of the gambler, the one who risks it all and rolls the dice, invests everything, and loses their shirt in the process.

Jupiter in Leo is vulnerable, believes in love even after their heart has been broken many times, and is childlike in their beliefs. Jupiter in Leo brings attention to children and childhood innocence, happiness, and schooling. Dating and falling in love might be back in vogue. Expect your confidence to soar, and after being beaten up and made to feel insecure by Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, everyone could use more confidence! In Leo, Jupiter encourages you to follow your heart! At its worse, and yes, Jupiter has a bad side, you encounter obnoxious types with inflated egos and those who think they are above it all and better than everyone else.
