It's Eclipse week, Capricorn! Get ready! As your astrology horoscope week gets underway, the Moon is in Cancer, and it's the witching hour, meaning you are without the light or influence of the Moon as she closes a Lunar chapter. The dark Moon in Cancer suggests a lack of trust in others generally and sticking close to those tried and true people who are like family to or are family members.
As ruler of the 4th house of beginnings and endings, It's the dark Moon that welcomes the planet of action and war, Mars, into Cancer (Falls). Mars begins to transit over all of Mercury's retrograde degrees, making most of us think, "Is there no end to the madness?" You can feel like you're running behind with one foot in the past and one in the future. If you made big changes while Saturn was direct, you're still tweaking and fixing things. I suppose that makes sense, as many were quick to make decisions, claim their independence, and say "I can do this by myself!" Maybe AI made you think you could do things by yourself! The problem with any new technology is it's still improving. You try to do as much as you can on your own and not rely on anyone.

Aug. 10, the planet of communications, thinking, ideas, cleverness, and competition, Mercury in Leo squares the wounded healer Chiron Rx in Taurus 0°. Decisions or things made by rulers, leaders, or those in charge may adversely affect some financially and result in hurt feelings. Also, the roads start to get filled with school buses and kids crossing streets, so slow down.
Aug.10 The planet of love, money, wealth, beauty, the wife in a man's chart, marriage and love, Venus in Libra (Rulership), trines Pluto RX in Aquarius at 3° and can bring money from the past or someone from the past. Pluto RX in Aquarius is digging up things from the past and making you remember people or even who you used to be.
Aug.10 Venus in Libra (Rulership) opposes dreamy Neptune RX in Aries at 4°, and it's easy to fall in love or fall prey to being catfished or conned. Wishful-thinking Neptune RX is fuzzy, and you can't really see everything clearly; you're naïve, you want to believe what you're told, and you want to trust! But should you?
Aug.11 The planet of action, war, taking the initiative, men, and the husband in a woman's chart, Mars enters Cancer (Fall), where again he's repeating Mercury's retrograde degrees. Still, now Mars gets upset, throws a tantrum, gets angry, emotional, needy, and all this whining gets you nowhere. The beauty about astrology is you are forewarned!
Mars in Cancer (Fall), a water sign, directs the forcefulness of Mars energy inward emotionally, toward property matters, the family, and influences domestic matters adversely. Mars in Cancer (Fall) is emotionally immature! A soldier's place is not in the home. There can be an unwanted police presence in towns and cities. This can also result in sudden outbursts if you've been keeping your emotions tightly under control, or if you're not speaking up about how you really feel about things. Home life is upset by moves, enforced changes of residence, political upheavals, unforeseen natural disasters, and uncontrollable circumstances. ©
Aug.11 Mercury in Leo opposes Pluto RX in Aquarius at 3°, and someone may disagree with you, then  Mercury in Leo trines Neptune RX in Aries at 3°, but you might be half right.

Mars, the warrior in the 7th house, will express excessive individuality and likely always be trying to "improve" the partner or partnership or find someone better. The nature of Mars is to destroy what is making us weak. "Destroying the weaknesses" in our partner is not what generally brings relationship happiness. Similar to the Sun, this may be good for business and career; however, it is not so good for your partners.

The 7th house is the furthest thing from you astrologically and, in many ways, represents your least integrated qualities, the things that feel the most unnatural to us. Your opposite. Coming face-to-face with your opposite, yet wanting to fulfill your desires, creates a bond that is not as easily broken as with other relationships. The desires of the 7th house are not necessarily sexual or romantic; they are also related to business and any situation where two people have an equal investment in each other.
Aug.11 Venus in Libra (Rulership) trines Uranus in Gemini at 5°. This aspect is good for money, economic indicators, and the stock markets. Some can meet someone unexpectedly or gain through a win or windfall.

Aug.12 Mars in Cancer (Fall) sextiles the wounded healer Chiron Rx in Taurus at 0°. You can find something you lost, or demand a discount on a lease or property.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo is a special kind of New Moon promising a new beginning, which sounds exciting. This eclipse is total across parts of Greenland, Iceland, northern Spain, and a small corner of Portugal, and partial across much of Europe. However, that same day, Mars and Ceres align on the World Axis, indicating potential for more fires, of which there have been plenty so far (gathering momentum as Mercury crossed the World Axis a few weeks ago). There may be more fires to come – increasing the need for those emergency vehicles and other related equipment.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo is playful and seeks to make everything fun, even the most arduous tasks. It's romantic and all about being a romance junkie! People want to hear your Cinderella story and want to experience this for themselves too. You're most likely to feel dramatic and encounter dramatic types or just plain drama or melodrama. You might feel like making a grand entrance, creating a fabulous first impression, turning heads, and showing off. Flattery goes a long way and is honestly taken seriously during the Leo Moon phase. So be sure to praise others and tell everyone what you adore about them. You might say today is all about appreciating others and being appreciated. There's a strong emotional attachment to winning, sports, games, parades, dating, pomp, and circumstances. It's about rulers, royalty, executives, children, stars, and celebrities. It's about blockbuster movies, concerts, entertainment, and self-indulgence. It can boost your confidence, make you a hero or a tyrant!

The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo starts a new cycle that foretells about the changes coming to your life through the 8th house of joint finances, big money, personal transformation and inheritances, The 8th house is all about courage.   Here, you transform or transcend your weaknesses or insecurities into strengths. How good does that feel? It's very empowering. Other aspects of the 8th house include power, power struggles, standoffs, and the decision to give in or not. It's your shadow self, or that part of yourself you don't like. It's jealousy and yearning for something that belongs to someone else. Where you don't feel you have options, it's obsessions and compulsions, death and rebirth. Here, you face your mortality. It is where we are faced with our mortality, death, endings, insecurities in the face of another, and our neediness and obsessions.   The 8th house is where you explore your hidden nature. 

Aug. 12, the planet of communications, ideas, short trips, errands, transactions, commerce, and your ideas, Mercury in Leo, sextiles fast-moving and super intelligent Uranus in Gemini at 5°. You might be able to perfect or fix things quickly.
Aug.12 Juno Rx re-enters Capricorn at 29°, the fated degree where she was last on March 29th, 2026. In Capricorn, she has a connection to losses, ex-lovers, and ill-fated soul mates whose timing was off. She could reconnect with past lovers.

Aug. 13-27th Hungry Ghosts month, celebrated Taoist, Buddhist, and eastern folk traditions, starts on Aug. 13 and ends on Sept. 10, with the Hungry Ghost Festival falling on August 27th. Light incense for wandering ghosts and remember your ancestors.
Aug.13 Mercury in Leo sextiles Venus in Libra (Rulership) at 6°
Aug.13 the wounded mother Ceres enters Cancer. Ceres is the wounded mother, the keeper of grains and the harvest. When she was crossed, and her daughter was kidnapped, she smote the Earth and ravaged the crops.
Aug.14 Pallas Rx retrograde in Aries at 22°. Pallas is the asteroid Goddess of war who strategizes and always wins in war over Mars.
Aug.15 Mercury in Leo conjunct Jupiter in Leo at 9° for a show of cleverness and creativity! It's a great aspect to make you feel confident and get attention for all you have created.
Aug.16 Mars in Cancer (Fall) inconjunct Pluto RX in Aquarius at 3°; avoid hissy fits, fights, serious family disputes, or fights. Secure your home.
Aug.17 Mars in Cancer (Fall) squares Neptune RX in Aries at 3°, and if you meet someone new who seems better than you expect, they are! Be wary of a clingy Jekyll-and-Hyde man, ladies!
Aug.17 Mercury in Leo trines Saturn RX in Aries at 14°, and you make serious headway to what was bothering you earlier in the week. This aspect promotes self-teaching, so if you can't do or don't know how to do something, teach yourself or get someone to show you.
Aug.17 Venus in Libra (Rulership) sextile Jupiter in Leo at 10°, two beneficial planets offering amazing opportunities. How fortunate is this aspect?
