The Moon in Capricorn is not considered the best placement for the Moon because it opposes the sign of Cancer. Jupiter is in Cancer, so domestic bliss, housing, motherhood, pregnancy, fertility, and family issues conflict. You may have to decide between cooking dinner for your family and working. ©

As Pluto _{S RX} retrogrades, he takes angst and mental unrest with him because he has taken you as far as he's going to take you and releases you. I like to say that Pluto is like being in an ocean's undertow, current, and feeling like you are drowning. In January 2021, Jupiter and Saturn were in Aquarius, right where Pluto _{S RX} is retrograding in Aquarius. Intriguingly, Uranus was in Taurus right where the planet and the lower octave of Uranus, Mercury, is today in Taurus at 6º! The Lunar Nodes and Neptune were at 19º Saturn's retrograde degree.

January 6 – Supporters of US President Donald Trump attack the US Capitol, disrupting certification of the 2020 presidential election, and forcing both houses of Congress to evacuate. Five people die during the ensuing riot. The event is classified as a domestic terrorist attack and draws international condemnation.
The Ever Given container ship became lodged in the Suez Canal, blocking international shipping for six days.
January 20 – Joe Biden takes office as President of the United States.
